About Get Tools Lab

Get Tools Lab is an online utility platform for everyday PDF, image, calculator, developer/data and text workflows. The goal is to make common tasks easy to understand while being transparent about processing, limitations and tool maturity.

Why the site exists

Many digital tasks are small but repetitive: merging documents, resizing an image, validating JSON, counting text or checking a calculation. Get Tools Lab brings focused utilities and practical explanations together so users can complete the task and understand the result.

How tools are built

Some workflows run entirely in the browser with JavaScript and browser APIs. Others can require server software or external services. We label the processing method rather than claiming that every tool behaves the same way.

Quality over tool count

The platform has a large tool registry, but public discovery is quality gated. Priority tools are developed as purpose-built workflows. Custom tools that still need deeper verification can be marked Beta. Generic or incomplete pages are hidden until ready.

Editorial and engineering review

Priority pages include definitions, examples, limitations, troubleshooting, privacy notes and reproducible tests where practical. They are reviewed by the Get Tools Lab Editorial & Engineering Team rather than attributed to invented individual authors.

Contact and corrections

Use the Contact page to report a bug, incorrect calculation, broken download, accessibility problem, translation issue or misleading statement. Helpful reports include the exact URL, browser/device, steps to reproduce and expected versus actual behavior.
